UnitedGo Chef is a free hobby cooking app. No account, no ads, and we do not sell your data.
Cooking data is designed to work on your device. The app may still use the network for recipe images when available, optional feedback, and maintenance update checks (including remote bug-fix patches).
Your pantry, favorites, and meal plans are stored locally on your device. Recipe data ships in the app.
If you send us a note from your profile, that message is sent over HTTPS to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so we can read it — not your pantry or other app data. Along with the message we store non-identifying technical metadata (timestamp, app flavor, and feedback source). We do not attach your name, email, or account details (the app has no account). This is a small hobby project with no formal support desk, so please skip passwords and sensitive personal info.
UnitedGo Chef uses Shorebird to deliver Dart bug-fix patches after you install the app. The app may initiate a network request to Shorebird’s servers over HTTPS to check for and download those maintenance patches.
That request includes only technical fields Shorebird needs to find the right patch: app id, optional channel, release version, current patch number, device architecture, platform (iOS or Android), and an anonymous client id used for aggregated usage metrics. Shorebird does not receive personally identifiable information, and it does not receive your pantry, favorites, meal plans, or recipe data.
Recipes are for hobby cooking. This app is not medical, dietary, or health advice. You are responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, and labels before you cook or eat.
Recipes are provided “as is” for hobby use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any harm or other outcome related to your use of the app.
Local data is removed when you uninstall the app. Feedback you send is kept only as long as needed for us to read it. To request deletion of feedback you sent, email the contact below.
UnitedGo Chef is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
